A Sweet Season of Performances
The Van Singel Fine Arts Center 2017-2018 season is packed with a sweet series of performances, including a newly formed partnership with Master Arts Theatre. The season features concert tributes to The Beatles and The Beach Boys, a touring Broadway musical, national concert artists, and the Van Singel’s newest venture in community theatre with Willy Wonka, the Musical.

GLENN BULTHUIS & THE TONEDEAFS Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Sgt. Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band Album

Van Singel favorites, Glenn Bulthuis and the Tonedeafs return to perform the entire “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” album live on stage. 2017 marks the 50th Anniversary of the release of the monumental Beatles album that Rolling Stone Magazine calls the greatest rock and roll album of all time. An 11-piece band recreates the entire Sgt. Pepper album along with 15 additional Beatles classics. This specially priced concert will appeal to the entire family. Older fans will relive the songs of their youth and younger fans will discover the wonder of the Beatles music for the first time! Glenn and his band tie it all together with humor and stories behind the songs.

Many associate the hymns and spirituals with American Folk music, but they are so much more. Hymns and Spirituals are full of fascinating historical facts and come from lives that were both victorious and broken. God’s Music includes contemporary instrumental and vocal arrangements of some of those timeless favorites.
These are tied together with fascinating stories and narrative that will bring new life to the rich history and messages of the songs. This staged musical/concert, underwritten by the Van Singel Family Foundation, includes National recording artists & Grammy Award contenders Deborah and David Johnson. It also includes an auditioned chorus of local vocalists!
WILLY WONKA The Musical

It’s the beginning of a sweet partnership when Master Arts Theatre and the Van Singel Fine Arts Center team up to co-produce Roald Dahl’s musical comedy, Willy Wonka: The Musical. Based on the original film starring Gene Wilder, the four performances, underwritten by The Van Singel Family Foundation, will be presented at the Van Singel Fine Arts Center November 30th through December 2nd.
Auditions are scheduled for Saturday, June 24, 10 am to 12 pm and on Monday, June 26, 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Auditions will be held at the Van Singel Fine Arts Center. Click here to download a cast list and a tentative rehearsal schedule.
Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL

MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET

Million Dollar Quartet is the smash-hit musical inspired by the famed recording session that brought together rock 'n' roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for the first and only time.

SOUNDS OF SUMMER: A BEACH BOYS TRIBUTE

Sounds of Summer: A Beach Boys Tribute is a brand new tribute based in Southern Indiana that includes over 30 familiar hits and tells the story of America’s band - the Beach Boys. These four incredibly talented guys have known each other since grade school and shared a love of 60’s music and Beach Boys’ harmonies. In 2014, Connor, David, Eric and Matt spent eight months learning and perfecting the intricate musical arrangements for the show before debuting in January of 2015. Sounds of Summer: A Beach Boys Tribute not only has the authentic sound, but also the most authentic look among any other Beach Boys tribute band in the country with all members currently in their 20’s. In less than a year Connor, David, Eric and Matt have already made an appearance onstage with the Beach Boys and sold out theater performances across Indiana. This show isn’t just fun…it’s fun, fun, fun!

Ticket patrons who order two or more shows from the Van Singel main season are eligible to a 10% ticket discount for Willy Wonka – The Musical.
All shows are reserved seating. Van Singel ticket patrons can design their own season and save from 5% to 15% off the cost of a full price ticket depending on the number of shows purchased:
● 5% discount when you purchase 2 shows
● 10% discount when you purchase 3-4 shows
● 15% discount when you purchase 5 shows
Groups also receive ticket discounts depending on the number of tickets purchased per performance.
●5% discount with a purchase of 10-19 tickets
●10% discount with a purchase of 20-49 tickets
●15% discount with a purchase of 50 tickets or more
Patrons who order three or more shows can choose the three-payment plan if tickets are ordered by August 31st - an easy way to pay for a full year of entertainment with three equal monthly payments will automatically be charged to a credit card.
